KOREA TRIP '14- DAY 6 (TRICK EYE MUSEUM+ HELLO KITTY CAFE), DAY 7 (LOTTE WORLD)

Was lazing on my bed and refusing to wake up as usual, until Chanel shouted, "WTH? KRIS IS LEAVING EXO?" I shot right up from bed, fumbled around for my phone, barely awake. Saw the news that was released by Sina that had "Exclusive: Kris's lawsuit against SM" as its headline. Words that I've never imagined reading this soon.

Scrolling down and shaking my head in denial, I went on my laptop to monitor updates from both the Chinese and Korean media. This must be a joke.

The situation changed as the hours went by, from Sina being the only news outlet that had the news and SM and the Korean media not knowing anything, to SM saying that they were flustered, to the acknowledgement and proof of the lawsuit. Witnessed how hope was lost in the fandom with each update.

Had to leave the house since we already agreed on meeting Crystal and YY for a trip to the Trick Eye Museum.
We left the guesthosue with a rather light-heart since the last update suggested that Kris might just be editing his contract details.
So, pictures from TEM here we go!

Love this onee

Went to the Ice Museum too!

Guy told us it wasn't cold at all so I went in sleeveless

Hey mister

Decided to visit the Hello Kitty cafe which was in the near vacinity (all in Hongdae area btw).
Everything being pink made me forget about what was going on in the fandom.

HELLO KITTY TIRAMISUUUUU

Went on to have our dinner at some meat place and I sat there, stuffing myself with vegetables and mushrooms and soup, and fished out my phone to check on the situation.
Tao updated his Instagram with THE post and that was when we knew shit was real.

My stand on Hangeng and JYJ issues were firm. But this time round I didn't know how to feel about Kris, since I'm biasless and hence a Kris fan as well.
Like what I said on askfm, I can't bring myself to hate him.
I've seen the leaving of Hangeng and JYJ, and I didn't know what to do when this happened to the group I stan. Everything about OT12 was.. instantly smashed into pieces.
(Well, after attending the concert (will be another post) my OT11 love was solidified)

We met up with Min at the cafe to figure things out and that's when I realised how much the issue has hit me.
The three of us sat there, at a loss, refreshing our timelines, sometimes pausing to laugh at stupid posts, and then we return to the sighing mode. Why now?

We could see him leaving, since he already showed signs of disinterest, and he has the record of trying to leave once.. but we didn't expect it to be this fast, we didn't expect it to be now.
Then again, everything about EXO is fast.
Guess he saw this as a chance to catch SM offguard when they are the busiest, with the comeback and concert preparation.
Best timing for him to leave, but also the worst for the team.
I remember reading many conspiracy theories on Twitter, from both sides. And my stand, is to support both sides.
I respect Kris's decision, but I will choose (or have chosen) to stay with EXO (and thus SM).
The EXO that is now 11.
They have gotten a lot stronger and closer as a team.
And I will be there to continue to walk with them till the end.

DAY 7
Finally got to meet Hacky!! It's amazing how two Singaporeans are meeting each other for the first time in another country. Decided to go on an adventure together in Lotte World~

Went around taking both rides and photos. Screamed things that weren't meant to be heard :-)

Because it was PINK

Mr Macho

FOR LUNCH, WE ATE MEGA-DELICIOUS JAPANESE CURRY RICE AND I AM STILL CRAVING FOR IT TILL TODAY.

SOMEONE SAVE ME

I thought Lotte World would be more tourist-friendly than Everland since it is located at a less ulu place but it is rather similar, so ah well. I prefer Everland to Lotte World, mainly because of the shorter waiting time ^^

Guess what I spotted while waiting?

A little girl was wailing her lungs out and plopped herself onto the ground. Couldn't remember what it was for again, and the mum carried her away after she refused to leave her spot. Leaving her shoes behind.

There was a gallery that shared the similar concept as the Trick Eye Museum so we had fun snapping a couple of pics there too!

When you wash your body wash your hands too

With Chanel

Guess what I saw at Suho's house?

There was some ultimate haunted house thingo indoor, and you have to pay a separate 3000won to enter. Went in anyway AND FOR THE NEXT FIVE TO TEN MINUTES FIVE SINGAPOREAN GIRLS WERE CHOOCHOOTRAIN-ING THEIR WAY THROUGH A DARK ROOM SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS what a sight

Some memorial shots after my 3000won adventure Recorded a video but nah it's too embarrassing

We stayed for the parade as well and saw many cute little kids~

And the parade was enjoyable! I felt like a kid all over again~

We then went to shop at Lotte mart.
Thing about shopping in Korea is that they are relatively very environmentally friendly.
You have to pay 100won at some places if you wish to opt for plastic bags. The skincare/cosmetics shops/ major chains give it for free. But as for the others, you can offer to put it in your bag/when they see that you are already carrying a shopping bag from another shop, they will ask if you would want to put your goods in your existing plastic bags (Y)
As for Lotte mart, they have used cartons outside. Pick yours and pack your groceries home~
There were loads of sample food. This ahjumma was wrapping rice in seaweed and stuffing our mouths with it :3 Unlike most places in sg whereby they are rather stingy about such things. :/

Took super long to post this :o Not sure if anyone is still interested but since I've already started on this I will finish it. All the way till the last day of my trip.

Next post: Entertainment companies trail, Myeongdong, (SMTOWN Pop-up store), Namdaemun
