Girls' Generation 5th Anniversary
Where should I even start?
What can I say?
This group of girls, changed my life.
They taught me how to go for my dreams.
They taught me what is true friendship.
They taught me to be selfless,
to always stand up after you fall,
to not give up,
to love the world, even if they hate you.
They are living their dreams.
Their dreams which started years ago,
when they were just kids.
They trained hard,
went through tough, difficult times that people at that age would not have experienced.
Their career did not start out successful either.
They faced hatred,
people wrote nasty mails and messages to them,
gave them a black ocean at combined concerts.
Yet,
they continued smiling for their fans,
they continued to stand on the stage.
Because it is their dream. Their passion.
And now, they are loved by tens of thousands of people.
They are the leaders of the Hallyu wave.
They are the ambassadors of South Korea.
They are the reason why people who spoke different tongues
unite together,
to learn hangul,
to learn korean culture,
and to learn
how to love.
They received commendation from leaders of South Korean Government,
their names are on various worldwide reknown papers,
in different languages.
They have fans from all around the world, supporting everything they do.
These fans are even inspired to do charity because of them.
They are generators of positive energy.
Most importantly, they have themselves.
8 other members,
8 other friends,
8 other sisters.
Sunny once said, "Having a close friend is already very comforting,
whatmore I have eight of them."
My feelings for this group cannot be summarized in a blogpost.
But I really, really feel very thankful that I have chanced upon this group.
They did what people said they couldn't do.
They broke the curse of the 5yearscurse.
They created miracles
and history.
And we have more years to go.
